Description: Heavy executive expertise responsible for all sales, media and marketing functions of large IMO/BGA that has a significant national presence. Responsible for planning, budgeting and staffing of entire sales and marketing organization within the company. Responsible for annual budget of $1M+. Create sales and marketing plans to drive sales of annuities, life products and linked benefits throughout one of the largest national distribution systems consisting of tens of thousands of agents and 100+ sub-IMOs. Annual production of $1.5B+ annuity products and $50M+ life products; annuity sales up 15%+, linked benefits up 190%+ and net profit up 25%+. Strategize with CEO, President and CFO on direction of organization given recent regulations like the Department of Labor, AG 49, etc. Responsible for monitoring developments; whether it be product, sales concepts, economic or regulatory (DOL). Develop and retain top talent in organization by “leading by example” and getting out in field with sales staff. Negotiate sales goals and marketing support agreements with carriers. Uses contacts within securities community to break into the new distribution sources (e.g. Broker Dealer and RIA distribution.). Streamlined product portfolio from 60+ carriers to 10+ carriers. Oversaw, in conjunction with IT Vice President, to improve IT infrastructure (i.e. CRM, Reporting, etc.). Nationally known keynote speaker before large audiences of advisors, agents and BGAs on life products, annuities, securities, linked benefits, behavioral finance and sales strategies. Frequently requested to speak at trade group meetings such as, MDRT, NAIFA, NAFA, BISA, etc. Prior experience is a progression through the sales and marketing component of major world-wide insurance enterprises.
