Education Requirements:  Degree preferred.
Other Requirements:  Include:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales or independent agent recruiting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Experience in an insurance agency or an understanding of the independent agent market.
  • Knowledge of Supplemental Health insurance products required.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Excel; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. and other Windows based applications.
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player and work effectively with a variety of people.

Salary Range:  $40k to $50k
Description:  Our Client seeks an experienced home office agent recruiting specialist able to enthusiastically recruit, train, and support independent Supplemental Health agents.  Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Well-qualified candidates would exhibit experience in the following key areas within the Supplemental Health market:
    • Key Areas/Responsibilities:
      • The position requires knowledge of Supplemental Health insurance products, as well as the ability to interpret marketing guidelines and knowledge of administrative practices relating to Company procedures.
      • Individual will be responsible for placing and managing agent recruitment advertisements, responding to inquiries, evaluating responses, setting up meeting space for group interviews, and forwarding qualified candidates to the National Vice President, Supplemental Health for evaluation and appointment.
      • Key to this position is the responsibility to aggressively contacting prospective agents daily via phone to check-on and encourage progress in studying for and obtaining an insurance license.
  • Once agents are on-boarded, the Supplemental Health Agent Specialist will be responsible for:
    • Processing agent contracts and appointments.
    • Ensuring marketing materials are sent to the agents and responding to questions agents pose.
    • Searching and distributing leads from SalesGenie based on criteria identified by National Vice President, Supplemental Health.
    • Running reports from SalesGenie or otherwise tracking the information provided by the agents regarding appointment status.
    • Evaluating agent performance against key company metrics and assisting National Vice President, Supplemental Health with follow-up.
    • Answering general questions about our Client’s products and features.
    • Answering administrative questions regarding processes and procedures.
