Compensation and Location

Finally, the Pricing Actuary, Life & Annuity job salary is $115k to $140k + bonus. The compensation depends on the level of the candidate and their experience. This Client requires your working at the Dallas, TX headquarters. This is not a remote job. The Client will provide assistance with relocation. Job Responsibilities for Pricing Actuary, Life & Annuity:

Product Development and Pricing:

  • Collaboratively design and develop new life and annuity products, working hand in hand with Marketing and Operations.
  • Actively price these products.
  • When pricing, choose and implement reinsurance where needed.

Implementation & Testing:

  • Integrate new products into the admin system, which includes:
    • Setting premiums.
    • Assigning reserve and NFF factors.
    • Allocating commissions to Operations.
  • Diligently test to ensure factors are loaded accurately.
  • Confirm that the product functions on the admin system are as designed.

Product Analysis:

  • Continually test the profitability of current products.
  • Conduct Actual to Expected studies, focusing on persistency and mortality metrics. Perform sensitivity analyses.
  • When required, adjust product pricing to optimize profitability.

Reinsurance Oversight:

  • Regularly audit reinsurance agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Professional and Experience Requirements for Pricing Actuary, Life & Annuity:

  • Hold an ASA designation or be close to achieving it. Our Client will also consider an FSA who aspires to growing with a company. Given that the company is growing, this job is ideal for an Actuary looking to grow their career.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product pricing.
  • Familiarity with MG-ALFA, the actuarial software we utilize for product pricing, is essential.
  • Communication skills, including verbal, nonverbal and written.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment. And enjoys the collaboration with all levels of employees from executive to entry level.
