Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Chief Actuary.
- Lead and oversee the Actuarial Valuation area, which is a new senior-level job for our Client.
- Currently, our Client focuses on Stat and Tax reserving and takes the small company PBR exemption. This role will be responsible for transitioning to both PBR and GAAP (LDTI) reserving.
- Initially, manage a career ASA while also gaining access to a pool of actuarial students who handle most of the Quarterly reserves.
- Deliver all necessary reporting to the Board of Directors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- As part of career progression, you could soon join the Executive Committee.
Qualifications:
- FSA designation is required.
- Experience with PBR and GAAP (LDTI) is essential.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- MAAA designation.
- Strong ability to communicate both in writing and verbally.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent skills in building strong teams and fostering collaboration.
- Highly skilled at mentoring and developing junior talent.
